itself an infidelity to the French brands to equip its rapid
intervention brigades (BRI) with the Subaru Impreza WRX Sti. The
Japanese sports car, well known to rally fans, therefore arrived on our
roads to track down "road rage" and participate in other special
operations of the Gendarmerie. Between 2006 and 2011, 63 cars were
fitted to the BRI. Although the car has been modified by the
coachbuilder Gruau, the 4-cylinder turbocharged STI engine developing
225 horsepower is still under the bonnet. Enough to allow the
Gendarmerie to speed along the motorway at nearly 250km/h and, in
