This early vintage sterling silver pocket watch has a white ceramic enameled face with black numerals and the words: W Dunkling, 313-315-317 Bourke St, Melbourne, Swiss Made on the face over three lines. There is a chip at the edge of the face between 8 and 9 o'clock, that is unnoticeable when the front glass casing is closed.
On the inner casing, it is hallmarked GS 925 123156, inside the outer casing it is hallmarked 925 VP GS 123156 and at the top of the hallmark, DEPOSE No. 9846 which denotes the 1903, Anglo-Swiss company Dimier Brothers who manufactured the casing with the single lug strap handle. Depose is short for Modele Depose, which is Swiss/French for 'Registered Design'.
